The Lions' Run

Lucas DuBois is sick of the boys at the orphanage calling him "little spark" because they think he's a coward, and he's sick of the German soldiers in his French village. When he rescues a litter of kittens and hides them in an empty stable, he finds a girl already hiding there with a filly of her own — and starts noticing how many people in his town are keeping secrets.
